SECTION CODES

Section Codes identify the editorial/advertising content of a page.

Proper use of these section codes communicate to layout the desired location an advertiser would like their advertisement appear in the publication.

These codes also provide layout communications to the newsroom the intended location of specific items, such as the weather page, editorial, comics...

Some of these section codes work to make specific changes in the editorial system. These could be change the column count on the grid to modifying the folio on a page.

The more information advertising ad order entry provides within the ad at point of sale, the better the communication to the layout department, thus satisfying the customer.
